SHOW UP BEFORE YOU SPEAK UP!

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither, do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.  (Matthew 5 11-16)

This is an article taken from “Our Daily Bread” 9^th July which I believe is so relevant today:-

There was a time when a certain west coast city in America may have been one of the most hostile places for the gospel. Posters in coffee shops advertised witchcraft meetings where you could learn to cast a spell on your enemies.

It was such a challenging environment for churches that they struggled to get building permits from the city council. And there was a lot of ‘woe is me’ talk among church leaders.  Until a group of pastors began to meet to pray regularly and then decided to take the love of Jesus into the city. They started a ministry to the homeless, to those suffering with AIDS, to teens at risk. Faithfully and intentionally they brought the love of Jesus to the needs of a hurting people.  Before long the city agencies started calling on them for help. Better yet the churches started to growing, as people responded to the gospel in action.

Which proves the point: Sometimes you’ve got to “show up” before you speak up. No one really wants to hear what we have to say about the love of Jesus until they have seen it in our lives (Matt 5 :16). Then even the most ardent opponents to the gospel may just be glad that you are in town, their office or their neighbourhood. And then you might be able to tell them about Jesus.

THE HIGHWAY

God clearly spoke to us on the 2^nd April through prophecy during the time of our prayer and fasting. Here in essence is what God declared unto us:-

IF WE GO THE HIGHWAY HE WILL SPEEDILY TAKE US TO OUR DESTINATION, BUT IF WE GO OTHER WAYS OUR ARRIVAL WILL BE DELAYED. THOSE THAT GO OTHER WAYS WON’T ARRIVE AT THE DESTINATION. THE HIGHWAY IS THE ONLY WAY TO THE PLACE OF DESTINATION AND THE HIGHWAY IS GOD’S PREPARED ROUTE FOR US TO GO. BUT YOU HAVE A CHOICE ON THE ROUTE THAT YOU TAKE AND A CHOICE TO WHERE YOU WILL END.

THE HIGHWAY IS THE PLACE TO MY THRONE.YOU WILL BE ENCOMPASSED WITH POWER AND WILL HEAR DIRECTIONS THROUGH MY SPIRIT AND IF YOU OPERATE AT THE PACE I CALL YOU TO, THEN, THERE WILL BE SWIFT ANSWERS TO YOUR PRAYERS. THE HIGHWAY IS THE WAY TO WHERE I SIT AND YOU CAN HAVE ACCESS TO.YOUR HANDS AND YOUR HEARTS HAVE TO BE CLEAN AND HAVE A LIFESYLE OF INTEGRITY THEN YOU WILL NEVER STUMBLE. THE HIGHWAY WILL RISE. DO NOT BE FEARFUL. OTHERS WILL WANT TO TAKE YOU DOWN ANOTHER PATH. DO NOT FOLLOW THEM FOR IT WILL LEAD TO SEPARATION FROM ME. YOU THINK YOU CANNOT FULFILL MY PLANNING AND CALLING. FOLLOW ME EVERY STEP OF THE WAY, THEN, YOU WILL ARRIVE AT THE PEAK. THOSE WHO DILIGENTLY SERVE ME WILL ARRIVE.

DO NOT BE FEARFUL OF THE COST, IT IS PAID IN FULL AND I WILL GIVE YOU THE DESIRES OF YOUR HEART WHEN YOU TRULY WALK THE HIGHWAY FOR THERE ARE BENEFITS OF FULFILLING MY COMMANDMENTS.  MAINTAIN A FIXED FOCUS ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE DIRECTION THE LORD HAS GIVEN YOU. MANY WILL BE LED OUT OF THE DESERT PLAINS BECAUSE OF THE FAITHFUL WHO WILL WALK THE HIGHWAY. AS YOU APPROACH ME, YOUR WALK WILL BECOME A RIDE AND YOU WILL GLIDE.

THOSE THAT WAIT UPON THE LORD WILL RENEW THEIR STRENGTH LIKE EAGLES.  THE EAGLE GLIDES ON WINGS OF ADVERSITY AND REACHES WITH NO EFFORT THE HIGHEST REALM AS HE HAS LEARNT TO TRUST ME. HE LIVES IN A PLACE WHERE ONLY EAGLES LIVE. HE LIVES IN THE GREAT HEIGHTS AND FLIES EVEN HIGHER AS HE KNOWS HOW TO SUSTAIN AND OPERATE AT THAT LEVEL. THIS IS THE WORD OF GOD.

What does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?  Micah 6 v 8.
